Three Favorite Memories

Three days until launch ...

Three days until TMB launch means learning three of our lovely Maven’s favorite podcast-creation memories.

1. After we’d been working in the podcast for a few months, I thought I should quit. I had a lot on my plate and the ideas we had seemed stale, “done.” I gave the team two weeks’ notice and told them I’d be happy to hear their arguments pro and con. To my surprise, there were only pro arguments; everyone wanted to keep going. Which we did—and we re-imagined the show. 

2. Our interview with Tope Folarin was a highlight—I can’t wait for listeners to hear it. His take on autofiction and identity is superb. 

3. Each week’s team meeting makes me happy, because we work so collaboratively. I might be the show owner, but I’m also just the talent, by which I mean I’d be nothing without Jordan’s engineering, Christina’s writing, and Lauren’s ideas.
